Postcard
Here is a card I made for Postcards for Nursing Homes . This project reminded me of my mother, who when she was in the early stages of alzheimers, complained to me that she never got any mail. Her complaint prompted me to write her a letter which I sent in an elaborately decorated envelope. I will always remember the look on her face the day the letter came. This project recalled that fond memory, so I participated.

Thank you, Loretta. It is my attempt to copy a Byzantine marble sculpture, c. 320 AD (from a photo). It helped me to see the forms of the face better than I ever have before.
