I did two self-portrait sketches last night. Next time I will use a softer color to draw with, like sepia, and not put in shadows until I have determined whether I’m going to use other color, especially skin tones. I had a goal of fitting the entire figure on the page and I did achieve that. (In the scan the top of the head is cut off but that’s because the sketchbook page was a bit too large for my scanner.)

I have not been drawing too much in the last week or so and thought I’d put up this which I did a few years ago. It’s a monoprint in fabric paint on muslin. The leaf images were stamped into it with carved erasers.
